XIAOMI Mi A1 REVIEW

I bought a smartphone for myself on 19th of September 2017 and the smartphone which I choose was Xiaomi's new Android One device which is called as Xiaomi Mi A1. It is available on nearby Mi stores and it's also available online. Before writing about the review and overall feel of the smartphone, let me first give you some of the details of the smartphone.The device comes with 4 GB RAM and 64 GB of internal memory expandable up to 128 GB AND that can be done through the hybrid slot provided on the smartphone. The smartphone is available for rupees 15,000 in 3 colors that is GOLD, BLACK, and ROSE GOLD.The other specifications are as follows:

  9. 3080 mAh battery 

The smartphone is compact and its built quality is very good.It has a metal body and the 3080 mAh battery is non-removable.The smartphone is provided with only one speaker which is placed on the bottom of the device along with the 3.5 mm jack and charging slot.The top side of the device contains the IR blaster. And there is a Hybrid slot on the left side of the device and the right side contains the volume rocker buttons and the power button.The device has the back, home and the recent app option on the capacitive lower bezel and the earpiece and the 5 MP front camera along with the LED notification indicator are placed on the upper bezel of the device.

PERFORMANCE OF THE SMARTPHONE

The device comes with Android Nougat and it runs on the stock android version with only 3 Mi applications on it and the remaining all the app are from  Google Play store.And it has no MIUI on it and that makes it run purely on the stock android of google.It is fast and responsive and its 4 GB of RAM performs very well.The speaker of the device performs very well and the audio output through the 3.5 mm jack is great.



The device has a dual camera and both perform very decently when it comes to natural lighting conditions, but its performance in low lighting condition is not very good.The video becomes unstable and shaky if the device is moved here and there while taking a video but the highlight of the camera is its 2X  telephoto lens which helps the device to take some really good photos like focusing a particular object and making its background blurred.

The 3080 mAh battery of the device can last a day with its moderate use and it may not last a full day with heavy usage.It takes almost 1.5-2 hr to fully charge the battery and it does not support fast charging.





PROS: The smartphone is an Android One device which means that it will get all the security updates from Google regularly and Google has promised at least 2 years of OS updates on this devices. Being an android one device, it is very fast and fluid because it runs stock android of google and there is no lag whatsoever.



CONS: The videos taken from this device are unstable and it's shaky.The device does not support fast charging.
